Frequently asked questions

Every piece is made in solid 14k or 18k gold, in yellow, white or rose, using recycled gold. Our stones are natural sapphires, emeralds and diamonds, and freshwater pearls. We do not make plated, vermeil or sterling silver pieces.

Each piece is stamped with its fineness: 585 for 14k gold, which is 58.5% gold, and 750 for 18k gold, which is 75% gold. The stamp is usually inside a ring band, on a clasp or on an earring post. The karat is also listed on every product page and on your receipt.

Diamonds of 0.50 ct and above come with a GIA grading report. Smaller diamonds are G to H color and VS clarity, and the stone details for every piece are listed on its product page and receipt.

Measure the inside diameter of a ring that fits the same finger, or wrap a paper strip around the finger to find its circumference, then compare with the chart in our ring size guide. Measure late in the day, and size up by a half for bands wider than 4 mm. If you are unsure, write to care@verafinejewelry.store before you order.

Earrings are sold in pairs unless the product page says "single".

Choose your piece, select the metal, size or length where offered, and add it to your bag. At checkout you can pay with Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay, Google Pay or Shop Pay, and add a free gift message. You will receive an order confirmation by email.

Ready-to-wear orders can be changed within 2 hours of placing them, before they are packed. Made-to-order orders can be changed until production starts. Contact care@verafinejewelry.store or call (212) 555-0186 as soon as possible with your order number.

Yes. Bespoke commissions begin with a consultation at our New York studio, by appointment, followed by sketches and a written quote. A 50% deposit confirms the commission, and the piece is made in 6 to 10 weeks after you approve the design.

Yes. Some pieces are made once you order, in your chosen metal, size or engraving. Made-to-order pieces take 3 to 5 weeks from the date of your order.

Every parcel is tracked. When your order ships, we email you a tracking link, and you can also contact us with your order number for an update.

We currently ship within the United States only. International shipping is coming later.

Ready-to-wear pieces ship within 1 to 2 business days, and express delivery arrives in 2 business days after dispatch. Made-to-order pieces take 3 to 5 weeks, and bespoke commissions take 6 to 10 weeks after design approval.

Insured shipping is free on orders over $250 and $15 on smaller orders. Express shipping in 2 business days is $35. Orders over $500 require a signature on delivery.

Unworn ready-to-wear pieces in their original packaging can be returned or exchanged within 30 days of delivery, with a free return label in the US. Refunds go to your original payment method within 5 business days of receiving the return.

Engraved, resized-to-order, made-to-order and bespoke pieces are final sale and cannot be returned unless they are faulty. Please check sizes, spelling and dates carefully before you order.

Soak gold, diamond and sapphire pieces in warm water with a drop of mild soap, brush gently with a soft toothbrush, rinse and dry with a lint-free cloth. Emeralds need room-temperature water and no ultrasonic or steam cleaning, and pearls should only be wiped with a soft cloth. Our care guide covers each material in detail.

Eligible rings, meaning plain bands and solitaires, include one free resize within 60 days of delivery. Full eternity rings and stacked settings are not eligible for the free resize. After 60 days, resizing is available at cost.

Yes. Manufacturing defects are repaired free under our 2-year warranty. Other repairs, such as damage from wear or accidents, are done at cost in our New York studio after an assessment.

Every piece has a 2-year warranty against manufacturing defects. We also offer free professional cleaning and a claw check at our studio for the life of the piece.
