About these terms
VÉRA Fine Jewelry operates this website and our studio at 52 Greene Street, Studio 3F, New York, NY 10013. We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your order is the one published on the date you place it.
Pricing and errors
All prices are in US dollars and include the item only. Shipping costs and applicable sales tax are shown at checkout. We may change prices at any time, but changes do not affect orders already confirmed.
We work to keep prices and product details accurate. If we find an error in the price or description of a piece you have ordered, we will contact you and give you the choice to proceed at the correct price or cancel for a full refund. We may cancel orders affected by an obvious pricing error.
Product images and natural variation
Our photographs show pieces as accurately as we can, but screens display color differently, and images may be enlarged to show detail. Natural gemstones and pearls vary in color, shape and inclusions, and each piece is finished by hand, so the piece you receive may differ slightly from the one shown. These variations are part of the material and are not defects.
Made-to-order and bespoke pieces
Made-to-order pieces are made after you order and usually take 3 to 5 weeks. Bespoke commissions require a 50% deposit to begin and take 6 to 10 weeks after you approve the final design. The balance for a bespoke piece is due before it is shipped or collected.
Timelines are estimates. We will tell you promptly if a piece will take longer. Made-to-order, bespoke, engraved and resized-to-order pieces are final sale unless faulty. Once materials have been purchased or work has started on a bespoke piece, the deposit is non-refundable.
Orders and payment
Your order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed when we send an order confirmation by email. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Shop Pay. We may decline or cancel an order if payment cannot be verified or if we suspect fraud, and we will refund any payment taken.
Intellectual property
All designs, sketches, photographs, text and other content on this website are owned by or licensed to VÉRA Fine Jewelry and protected by copyright and other laws. You may not copy, reproduce or use them for commercial purposes without our written permission. Designs created for a bespoke commission remain our intellectual property unless we agree otherwise in writing, and we will not reproduce a bespoke design for another client without your consent.
Warranty and liability
Every piece carries a 2-year warranty against manufacturing defects, as described in our returns policy. This warranty does not cover normal wear, accidental damage, loss, or alterations made by anyone other than VÉRA.
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to a product is limited to the price you paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under applicable consumer protection law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be handled by the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
